Below is a curated list of key deadlines and reminders covering everything from OSHA to general workforce compliance requirements. OSHA – Required (Annual / Q1):

  • Verify OSHA injury/illness logs for prior year and postOSHA 300A (Feb 1 – Apr 30).
  • Review and update annual programs: Emergency Action Plan, Hazard Communication (Hazcom), Lockout Tagout, Respiratory Protection, PPE, Hearing Conservation, Confined Space, and Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Plans.
  • Conduct regular training: HazCom, PIT/Forklift, BBP,LOTO, Fire/Evac, Fall Protection, Hoist/Crane, FirstAid/CPR/AED.
  • Conduct respirator fit testing and medical evaluations.
  • Conduct annual audiogram testing for hearing conservation.
  • Audit and update SDS library.
  • Perform annual Machine Guarding / LOTO audits.

Hazardous Materials

  • HazMat Employee Training (every 3 years).
  • Review shipping papers, UN packaging, lithium battery compliance.
  • Verify 24/7 emergency response provider information.

EPA – Environmental Programs

  • Tier II Chemical Inventory (due March 1).
  • Prepare for TRI Reporting (due July 1).
  • GHG Annual Report (due March 31).
  • Annual Emissions Inventories (state deadlines vary).
  • RCRA annual training.
  • Stormwater (SWPPP) annual review.
  • Air permits: renewal checks and monitoring plan updates.
  • SPCC Plan: 5-year review or post-change update.
  • Update chemical inventory.

FMCSA: Fleet & Driver Compliance

  • MVR checks for all CDL drivers.
  • Update DQ files.
  • Annual vehicle inspections (49 CFR 396).
  • Drug/alcohol program: random pool, MIS reporting.
  • Review ELD logs and Hours-of-Service compliance.
  • Driver training refresh (hazmat, cargo securement, defensive driving).

Fire & Life Safety

  • Fire extinguishers, fire pump, fire alarm & suppression system inspections
  • Emergency lighting/exit signs (90-min test)
  • Update evacuation maps, hot work permits, and emergency response plans.

Workforce Compliance

  • EEO-1 Reporting (private employers ≥100 employees / federal contractors ≥50 employees) collect employee demographic data submission typically in March.
  • OFCCP Compliance Prep for federal contractors (review compensation, hiring, promotions, anti-discrimination policies).
  • Anti-harassment and discrimination training refresh for all employees and supervisors.
  • Employee handbook & policy review: update policies on leave, accommodations (ADA), PTO, harassment prevention.
  • Benefits compliance review: ERISA, ACA reporting prep, COBRA notices.
  • I-9 / E-Verify audits (internal verification for federal compliance).
  • Conduct a pay equity/compensation review to mitigate discrimination risks.
