CVSA Announces 2026 Commercial Vehicle Inspection Blitz Schedule
Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative
This five-day outreach and education effort is focused on preventing and identifying human trafficking within the commercial transportation industry. The focus is to educate drivers, motor carriers, law enforcement, and the public on recognizing signs of trafficking and knowing how to respond.

International Roadcheck
Dates: May 12–14, 2026
International Road check is the largest targeted CMV enforcement program in the world. During a 72-hour period, roadside inspections will take place on commercial vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Operation Safe Driver Week
Dates: July 12–18, 2026
Operation Safe Driver Week focuses on reducing unsafe driving behaviors. Law enforcement agencies use both education and traffic enforcement strategies to address dangerous actions by passenger vehicle drivers and commercial motor vehicle drivers alike.
Brake Safety Week
Dates: August 23–29, 2026
Brake Safety Week’s goal is to identify brake-related violations and emphasize the importance of proper brake maintenance.
Unannounced Brake Safety Day
In addition to Brake Safety Week, CVSA will hold a one-day, unannounced Brake Safety Day. Inspectors will again focus on brake system inspections to identify safety issues on commercial vehicles.
Unannounced Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods Road Blitz
CVSA will also conduct an unannounced five-day Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods (HM/DG) Road Blitz. This will focus on commercial vehicles transporting hazardous materials or dangerous goods, with inspections aimed at ensuring safe and compliant transport.
